One of the biggest mistakes common retails and spot investors make is that they start buying when the market is green (pumped), and then they panic and sell when the market drops.
This is just basic human psychology, and expert traders and market makers know this very well. Almost all the time, our timing for buying and selling is completely wrong.
Another major mistake is that we don't pay attention to the basics. We just fill our bags by buying random shitcoins.
A YouTuber says something, and we buy. An influencer takes money to promote a coin, and we throw all our money into it. We never actually try to understand the market ourselves, study it, or do our own research before investing.
If making money here was that easy, people would stop doing every other job in the world and just play crypto all day.
