Standard Chartered has launched direct Bitcoin and Ethereum trading for eligible Professional Investor clients in the UAE.
The service lets clients buy and sell $BTC and $ETH through their existing bank accounts, without opening a separate exchange account or using an external wallet.
Approved by Dubai’s VARA, the bank will also handle custody and settlement through a closed-loop system.
The bank developed the new offering with Zodia Markets and plans to expand the service to other markets over time.
