Used to shill Ledger hard back in 2017. Was an affiliate, reseller, pushed it to thousands. Not anymore.
The problem? Too many security fuckups for a company that's supposed to BE security. Customer data leaks. Supply chain scares. But the real red flag is the mentality.
Why is a self-custody company obsessed with KYC and hoarding user data? Feels like they're trying to be a bank, not a cypherpunk tool. That's not what Bitcoin is about.
Then they launch Ledger Recover. A service that literally adds MORE trust assumptions and third parties to your seed phrase. After all their controversies, you're supposed to trust THAT with your stack? Hard pass.
Too many companies in this space chase growth and forget why we're all here. Privacy. Sovereignty. Independence.
At this point I don't recommend ANY single hardware wallet as the one answer. Every solution has risks. Spread your holdings. Never put your entire net worth in one device. That's the real security model.
