Hackers stole personal and health information from more than 368,000 patients of California wearable heart monitor maker iRhythm Technologies. According to NS3.AI, iRhythm said unauthorized individuals accessed and downloaded data from certain third-party-hosted business applications between June 3 and June 8.

State filings show 298,647 people were affected in Texas, while another 69,526 were affected in South Carolina. iRhythm has not disclosed a nationwide total. The stolen records include names, birth dates and insurance numbers, and iRhythm began notifying affected patients on October 2.

The company said its medical devices, clinical systems and patient safety were not affected.
