Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has helped fund a COVID-19 vaccine now in human trials using proceeds from unsolicited Shiba Inu tokens. PopVax says Buterin's science fund, Balvi, and the Gates Foundation invested $20 million in the program. PopVax dosed the first two volunteers in Melbourne, Australia, on August 31. PopVax founder Soham Sankaran says the vaccine will become open-source with Balvi after Phase I ends. However, SHIB has fallen 4.33% in 24 hours despite the Shiba Inu team's claim of early breakout signals.
