A stablecoin’s supply tells you how much is circulating. Its reserves help explain what stands behind that supply.

According to USDD’s September 2026 Transparency Report, the protocol ended the month with approximately $1.52B in circulating supply, $2.24B in reserve assets, and a reported collateral ratio of 146.95%.

What does that ratio mean?

In simple terms, USDD reported approximately $1.47 in reserve assets for every $1 of USDD in circulation.

That additional backing is designed to provide a buffer against market volatility. But collateralization is only one part of the stability equation.

Three things are worth monitoring:

🔹 Reserve composition: USDD lists assets including USDT, TRX, staked TRX (sTRX), WBTC, and ETH. Different assets carry different risks.

🔹 Verifiability: Public reserve addresses allow users to inspect on-chain balances and track changes themselves.

🔹 Market stress: Reserve values can fluctuate, so the collateral ratio can change. A snapshot above 100% does not eliminate every liquidity, market, or protocol risk.

Transparency matters most when users can verify the numbers rather than simply take a project's word for them.
