Bitcoin briefly dropped below $81K as roughly $720M in leveraged longs were liquidated over 24 hours. It’s now around $82.8K, with this week’s low near $80.4K.
ETH fell more than 6% below $2,500, while XRP and SOL each lost over 5%. Crypto-linked stocks also slipped: COIN -4.4% and Strategy -6.8%.
Risk-off sentiment, fueled by Iran and Hormuz tensions and Brent crude above $100, added pressure. So far, the move looks more like a leverage flush than clear confirmation of a sustained downtrend.
BTC is hovering around the $83K area. A sustained break lower could put $78K support in focus.
