$CCD

Something I find interesting about Concordium is that businesses can make blockchain transactions easier for customers without removing the underlying network costs.

With Sponsored Transactions, a business can cover the network fee for a user instead of asking them to hold $CCD just to complete an action.

Think about how much smoother that makes the experience for someone who is new to crypto. They can focus on using the application instead of first figuring out how to acquire a token for gas.

But the fee doesn’t disappear. The business still pays it in CCD.

I like this because it separates two things that often get confused: making crypto easier to use and removing the need for the network’s native token.

Concordium can improve the user experience while $CCD continues to do its job underneath.
