People are already writing off October, but I’m not buying it.
Look at the recent price action: Bitcoin took a sharp dive over a couple of days, taking Ethereum and altcoins down even further with it. Long positions were wiped out, fear spiked, and the prevailing narrative suddenly shifted to "the bull run is over."
This is precisely when I tune out the chatter and focus on market positioning.
Right now, retail sentiment is shaken, the bears are vocal, and expectations for a deeper crash are rising. If this trend holds, traders will start heavily stacking short positions. That’s where the setup gets compelling.
I’m not calling an immediate V-shaped recovery; we could easily sweep lower to grab liquidity first. However, as long as the macro structure remains intact, this level of extreme fear often serves as the fuel for a sharp short squeeze.
A single rough week doesn't invalidate the broader trend. So long as BTC holds its key higher-timeframe support levels, I see no reason to call a cycle top.
My Q4 outlook remains bullish.
The immediate trigger I’m watching for is Bitcoin reclaiming its strength, which opens the path back toward $90K+. Meanwhile, Ethereum pushing back above $3K would instantly flip the narrative for the altcoin market.
Two red days aren't a reason to panic—market fear usually presents the best entries. Just make sure your trade plan is ready before the tide turns, not after the rest of the market flips bullish again.
