Nano, a cryptocurrency designed specifically for fast, feeless, and energy-efficient peer-to-peer payments.

Key Features

Instant and free transactions: Payments typically confirm in under a second with zero fees (no miner or network fees).

Unique technology: Instead of a traditional single blockchain, Nano uses a block-lattice structure. Each account has its own independent chain, allowing transactions to process asynchronously and in parallel. Consensus is achieved through Open Representative Voting (ORV), where holders delegate voting weight to representatives without locking or transferring their coins. This makes it highly scalable and extremely energy-efficient (no mining required).

Fixed supply: There are exactly 133,248,297 XNO in existence. The entire supply was distributed via a public CAPTCHA faucet (starting in 2015 as RaiBlocks) that closed in 2017; any undistributed coins were burned. There is no mining, staking rewards, or inflation.

Nano focuses purely on being “digital money for the modern world” — optimized for everyday payments, tipping, and transfers rather than smart contracts, DeFi, or complex applications. It is open-source, decentralized, and supported by the Nano Foundation (with development increasingly community-driven).

Note: Prices fluctuate; as of recent data around October 2026, XNO has traded in the roughly $0.33–$0.37 range with a market cap in the mid-tens of millions of USD (rank typically in the 400s), far below its 2018 all-time high near $33–$37. Always check current market data for the latest figures.
