Hunter Biden said an unnamed market maker involved in the launch of his LAPTOP memecoin should buy back and burn the tokens after the project’s sharp launch-day price swings. According to NS3.AI, a market-maker-linked wallet deployed just $5,200 of the $500,000 it received before launch.

A forensic report from Groom Lake linked the volatility to limited token inventory, heavy early trading, and liquidity changes. LAPTOP climbed from $0.05 to around $320 in under two minutes before ending its first hour roughly 98% below that peak.

Biden said the failure was ultimately his responsibility.
