⚠️🚨 Bitcoin at $86K Before the U.S. Midterms: Recovery or Another Liquidity Grab?⚠️🚨

The 2026 U.S. Midterm Elections will take place on November 3, 2026, and the main battle is between Trump’s Republican Party and the Democrats. Republicans currently control both the House and Senate, but their margins are relatively narrow.

Right now, Democrats have the stronger position, particularly in the House. If the current polling and prediction market trends continue, Democrats have a strong chance of taking control of the House. The Senate is much more difficult, but Democrats also have a realistic chance there. So the most likely outcomes are either Democrats winning the House while Republicans retain the Senate, or Democrats potentially winning both chambers.

Now that we’ve discussed the U.S. elections, let’s look at what kind of impact they could have on the market, particularly Bitcoin.

BTC is currently holding around the $84K–$86K area, but in my view, this sideways movement after such a strong pump is completely normal. Usually, when Bitcoin consolidates after a major move, altcoins start showing recovery because traders gradually gain confidence that the previous pump was not simply a fake move.

However, my view is still different.

In my opinion, there is significant short liquidity around the $92K area, while many long traders are still positive. A large amount of long liquidity is also sitting below the $74K area. Since the market often moves toward areas where the most liquidity is concentrated, I am still not convinced that Bitcoin has started a sustainable bullish trend.

Yes, many altcoins are making strong moves, but I see this more as an altcoin recovery phase rather than confirmation of a new bull run.

Bitcoin has already moved considerably closer to its previous all-time high, but I still don’t currently see BTC breaking above $100K. In fact, I believe a stronger move to the downside could come first, potentially even larger than the previous correction.
