Bitcoin ran toward $87,000 and got within roughly $500 of its late-September high, close enough that an eight-month top was almost on the board.

Sellers showed up anyway. Price slipped back under $86,000 before the move could stick.

That makes two failed pushes this week. Same ceiling, same fade once the bid thins out.
