Stablecoins are finally plugging into actual banking rails—not just minting another token, but integrating directly into legacy ledgers and operating systems.

Fiserv's digital asset platform just went live. First use case: North Dakota's Roughrider Coin (USD-backed), issued by VersaBank with reserves managed on-chain. Transactions settle via $SOL.

Fiserv claims 90+ banks and credit unions are "participating"—can transfer directly through their existing Commercial Center systems.

But participation ≠ adoption. No official data on active institutions or actual settlement volume yet.

My take: Which chain they chose matters, but real capital flow is the only metric that counts. Watch the liquidity, not the press release.
