Phantom Adds BNB Chain as Its Ninth Supported Network
@Phantom, the self-custody wallet that built its reputation on @Solana, has added native support for @BNBChain. The integration was announced on October 1, 2026, with Phantom telling users to update to the latest version of the app to start trading. The official BNB Chain account subsequently confirmed the news, and Binance co-founder CZ also reposted the announcement.
The addition makes BNB Chain the wallet's ninth supported network, sitting alongside Solana and Ethereum. For context, BNB Chain was previously on Phantom's unsupported list, and users holding BSC assets were directed toward EVM-compatible wallets like MetaMask to manage or recover them.
What the Integration Actually Delivers for $BNB Users
Phantom now supports BNB Chain natively, letting users hold, send, swap tokens, and trade perpetual contracts via Hyperliquid without needing a separate EVM wallet. Phantom is keeping its non-custodial setup intact, meaning users hold their own keys and the company never takes control of the funds in the wallet.
The timing matters strategically for $BNB. The token has long commanded a strong presence across Eastern markets, but @BNBChain has been pushing to grow its footprint with Western audiences. Phantom, with its large and predominantly Western user base on @Solana, offers exactly that kind of reach. Getting listed as a natively supported network inside one of crypto's most-used self-custody wallets is a meaningful distribution win, not just a technical checkbox.
Phantom also integrated Robinhood Chain in July 2026, signaling a broader multichain expansion strategy beyond its Solana roots. The BNB Chain addition is the latest and arguably most significant step in that direction, given the network's scale and user base.
For existing Phantom users, the update is straightforward. Users need to update Phantom to the latest version before the new features become available.
