🚨 NFP SHOCKED THE MARKET — BUT BTC STILL COULDN’T BREAK $87K!

#NFPwatch

September Payrolls: +29K
Expected: ~90K
Unemployment: 4.2%
Wage Growth: 3.0% YoY

July was revised to -10K, while August came in at 133K.

At first, the reaction was textbook:

📉 Weak jobs data
➡️ Lower rate-hike expectations
➡️ Lower yields
➡️ 🚀 BTC pushes higher

Bitcoin climbed to around $87,229…

But then the key level hit back.

$87K–$87.3K rejected AGAIN

And there’s another detail traders shouldn’t ignore:

📈 BTC Open Interest had already surged by $2.3B before the report.
Funding rates were also climbing, showing that bullish leverage was building into the event.

Now BTC is back near $84.6K, while roughly $54.5B remains locked in futures Open Interest.

The takeaway:
A weak NFP can spark a BTC rally — but it doesn’t automatically create a breakout.

The next level I’m watching closely is $87K–$87.3K.

BTC needs to reclaim that supply zone without another major leverage build-up to show the move has real strength.

Weak NFP = bullish reaction.
But the first breakout attempt has already failed.
