Starship Flight 14: SpaceX achieved a major milestone on Sept. 28—Starship reached orbit for the first time and deployed 26 next-generation Starlink satellites. The mission was shortened after an engine issue, with Starship later reentering and splashing down near Hawaii.
Falcon Heavy: On Oct. 1, SpaceX launched the NROL-97 classified National Reconnaissance Office mission. Both side boosters successfully landed.
Crew-13: SpaceX also launched four astronauts to the ISS on Oct. 1; the Falcon 9 booster successfully returned to Earth.
Starlink V3: The successful Starship deployment represents an important step toward SpaceX using Starship for larger Starlink payloads.
Next focus: SpaceX is preparing for additional Starship testing, including future flights from Kennedy Space Center.
Bottom line: SpaceX is currently in a very active launch phase, with Starship finally demonstrating orbital capability while Falcon 9/Falcon Heavy continue frequent operational missions.
