Morgan Stanley just launched a digital asset lab — they're running tests on stablecoins, tokenization infrastructure, and DeFi protocols. This is a $10 trillion institution quietly building the rails to go onchain.

Three things matter here:

1. Traditional finance isn't watching from the sidelines anymore. They're spinning up internal teams, hiring engineers, and stress-testing what works in production environments. This isn't exploratory — it's pre-deployment.

2. Stablecoins and tokenization are the wedge. Banks see the efficiency gains: instant settlement, programmable money, 24/7 liquidity. DeFi apps give them composability without rebuilding legacy infrastructure from scratch.

3. When institutions this size move onchain, it changes market structure. More liquidity flows into crypto rails, regulatory clarity accelerates, and the line between TradFi and DeFi starts to blur.

This isn't about Morgan Stanley buying $BTC for their balance sheet. It's about them building the pipes so trillions of dollars can move through crypto infrastructure natively. The shift is already happening — most people just aren't paying attention yet.
