Entain said it still expects to meet its 2026 profit target after Brazil imposed an immediate ban on online sports betting and online games. According to Sina Finance, the company said the ban is disappointing, but its Brazil business is operating in line with the decree.

The temporary measure lasts 120 days and would need approval from Brazil's Congress to become permanent. Entain previously said Brazil would account for 5% of its 2026 online betting net revenue, while contributing only a limited amount to group EBITDA.

The company kept its 2026 underlying EBITDA guidance at 910 million to 960 million pounds and maintained its online business underlying EBITDA margin guidance at 21% to 22%. It said results are likely to come in at the lower end of that range.

Excluding Brazil, Entain said its 2026 online betting net revenue growth could still reach the top end of its 5% to 7% guidance range on a constant-currency basis. Including Brazil, the group now expects 2026 online betting net revenue growth of 4% to 6%.

Entain shares fell 3.2% to 4.35 pounds, and the stock is down more than 40% so far this year.
