🎮 LEVEL 4 — COMMODITIES: The Real-World Materials Level 🥇
You cleared the ETF level. Now the game takes you somewhere different. Unlike stocks, which represent an interest in companies, commodities are physical goods and raw materials that play a role in the real economy.

🥇 WHAT IS A COMMODITY?
A commodity is a basic good or raw material that can be bought and sold in markets.
Think:
🥇 Gold & Silver
🛢️ Crude Oil & Natural Gas
🌾 Wheat, Corn & Coffee
🔩 Copper & other industrial metals
These markets can connect directly to industries, manufacturing, transportation, construction, energy and everyday consumption.

📊 WHAT MOVES COMMODITY PRICES?
Supply and demand are at the center, but many factors can change that balance:
🌍 Geopolitical events
⛏️ Mining & production
🌦️ Weather conditions
📦 Inventories & supply chains
🏭 Industrial demand
💵 Inflation & interest rates
💱 Currency movements
📈 Global economic activity
For example, a disruption in oil supply can affect energy prices, while stronger industrial activity can increase demand for metals such as copper.

🥇 GOLD ISN'T THE SAME AS A GOLD PRODUCT
This is one of the most important lessons in this level.
You can get exposure to gold in different ways:
🪙 Physical gold → you own the metal
📊 ETF → you own shares of a fund
📜 Futures → a derivative contract linked to the commodity
♾️ Perpetual → a derivative tracking the commodity's price
🔗 Tokenized gold → blockchain-based representation, with its own structure and rights
Same underlying commodity.
Very different products.

🔍 COMMODITY ≠ OWNERSHIP
For example, Binance TradFi perpetuals such as XAUUSDT and XAGUSDT track gold and silver prices but are derivative contracts. They do not give you ownership of a physical gold bar or silver coin.
And because derivatives can involve leverage, understanding the contract matters just as much as understanding the commodity.
