🚨 Bitget Incident Update

Of the approximately $351.6M in assets involved in the Bitget security incident, around $192.6M has reportedly been transferred or processed.

A large portion was converted into ETH, highlighting how major stolen-asset movements can create significant short-term selling pressure.

The first priority for moving large amounts of stolen crypto usually isn’t a market narrative—it’s liquidity, speed, and cross-chain transfer efficiency.

Because ETH can serve as a settlement, transfer, and collateral asset across the crypto ecosystem, it can become one of the assets involved in the movement of such funds.

⚠️ However, this does not automatically mean Ethereum itself is unsafe or that its fundamentals have deteriorated. The movement of illicit funds and the underlying security or fundamentals of a blockchain are separate issues.
