Saudi, Pakistani and Turkish foreign ministers met in New York to review the implementation of the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement following recent attacks targeting Saudi Arabia.
The ministers condemned the attacks and discussed arrangements for an urgent meeting of the three countries’ military chiefs to consider ways to support Saudi Arabia under the pact.
The agreement, signed in August 2026, states that an armed attack against one member is regarded as an attack against all three.
The ministers also stressed international law, sovereignty, freedom of navigation, de-escalation and peaceful solutions to regional crises.
