A Blockchain Roadmap Should Change The Network, Not The Website 🗺️
A lot of crypto roadmaps are basically feature wishlists.
Midnight’s is more structural.
The network is operating in its current Kūkolu phase, while later milestones include the Hua phase, where the roadmap moves further toward progressive decentralization and full cross-chain bridging.
That progression matters.
$DOT made staged network development familiar years ago because changing consensus, governance and interoperability is fundamentally different from shipping another application feature. We’ve seen it more adopted since with newer L1s like $MON too.
Midnight is taking a similarly phased approach to the infrastructure underneath the applications.
The network that exists today is therefore not being presented as its final operating model.
That gives builders something useful: a live base layer now, with the major architectural changes mapped into defined stages rather than vaguely promised “later.”
Roadmaps become interesting when each phase changes what the network can actually do.
