U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Washington and Beijing agreed to extend their trade truce by two months, moving the expiry date from November 10 to January 10, 2027.
The extension provides more time to negotiate a broader agreement, but no new terms have been announced.
Initial reaction remained limited: gold traded at $4,297, up 0.19% from 06:45 ICT; BTC fell 0.29% to $84,200; DXY was broadly flat at 101.12; Brent eased 0.77% to $102.03.
