Wild domain warfare story from 2020-2021:

Original owners wanted 7 figs for uni.com. Uniswap said no.

SBF stepped in, bought it for 7 figs, then pointed it at a Uniswap fork/competitor. Pure power move.

But here's the alpha: Uniswap Labs didn't pay a cent in the end. They went through WIPO domain dispute, proved bad faith use, and forced the transfer in Sept 2021.

Lesson for builders: Lock down your strategic assets EARLY. Domains, trademarks, socials, IP. Don't let whales or trolls hold you hostage later.

Protect your brand or someone else will own it.
