New Markets Signal Jupiter's Derivatives Push

@JupiterExchange has expanded its perpetual futures offering on Solana, adding new trading pairs that include $SPCX, $HYPE, $ZEC, $SKHYNIX, and $SNDK. The rollout is running in beta, with early access currently limited to users who hold at least 69 $JUP.

The expansion marks Jupiter's return to the derivatives space and extends its reach beyond its core swap aggregation business. The new pairs span both crypto assets and real-world asset (RWA)-backed instruments, reflecting a broader push to bring more asset classes on-chain.

Jupiter Perps is a perpetual futures exchange built on Solana that operates on a trader-to-LP model, where traders borrow assets from the Jupiter Liquidity Pool to open leveraged positions while liquidity providers earn a share of fees generated by trading activity. Positions are priced using on-chain oracles, which means trades execute at the displayed price without order-book slippage.

A Growing Force in Solana Derivatives

Jupiter is the dominant DEX aggregator on Solana, handling approximately 95% of all aggregator market share on the network and over 50% of total Solana DEX trading volume. Its derivatives arm has grown alongside that dominance. Jupiter Perps alone accounts for roughly 80% of Solana's perpetual futures activity.

By May 2026, the aggregate volume of weekly perpetual contracts on Solana had surpassed $20 billion, with each platform processing tens of billions of dollars in monthly flow. Solana's derivatives platforms have collectively cleared the $1 trillion mark, confirming that leveraged crypto trading on the network has moved well beyond a niche experiment.

Adding RWA-backed pairs alongside crypto tokens positions Jupiter to capture demand from a wider pool of traders, particularly as tokenized real-world assets gain traction across DeFi. With the beta gate set at 69 $JUP, the platform is also nudging users toward holding its native token as a prerequisite for access to new products.
