AI demand still looks far from peaking.
Jensen Huang just said Nvidia expects to sell roughly twice as many chips next year as this year. The company is guiding for about 70% revenue growth in the fiscal year ending January 2028, which could take sales toward $673 billion. Top AI companies keep posting record numbers while the compute spend behind it continues to explode. This doesn’t feel like a short-term bounce. The demand is spreading across enterprises, sovereign AI projects, and almost every industry.
At the same time, some industry leaders are calling for a slowdown in AI development over safety concerns. Meanwhile, Trump has announced plans for an “AI Force,” an AI Czar, and claims AI could eventually account for 25% of U.S. GDP. His clear stance is to support and accelerate the industry, not restrict it.
I’m still bullish. I’m holding Nvidia (NVDA) and recently added a bit more. Companies building the actual infrastructure — chips, power, and compute — still look well positioned for the long term. Real demand plus state-level backing is a strong combination.
