🚨 XRP Ledger Is About to Get a Major Upgrade. Wall Street Use Cases Are Already Waiting.

Ripple says asset managers and commercial projects are preparing to use the XRP Ledger’s upcoming Batch V1.1 upgrade, which could activate around September 29 if validator support stays above the required threshold.

The upgrade lets up to eight linked transactions settle as one operation.

If one transaction fails, the entire batch fails. That “all-or-nothing” design is especially useful for delivery-versus-payment, where an asset and its payment need to move together.

That’s where the market impact gets interesting.

This isn’t simply a faster-payment feature. It could make the XRP Ledger more useful for tokenized securities, institutional trading, exchanges and other financial applications that need synchronized settlement.

Ripple says commercial projects are already being built with Batch in mind, although specific partners and launch timelines have not yet been disclosed.

There’s also an important security angle.

The original Batch implementation was withdrawn after researchers found a critical signature-validation flaw. RippleX rebuilt the feature and subjected the replacement to additional security reviews before bringing it back for validator approval.

The bigger takeaway: if asset managers actually put Batch V1.1 into production, XRPL could be moving closer to becoming financial-market plumbing—not just another blockchain for payments. 👀

That makes September 29 a date worth watching.
