Prediction Markets Are Getting Interesting

I’ve been looking at prediction markets more as an information tool than just a trading concept.

The range is much broader than politics.

Markets now cover sports, crypto, AI, economics, geopolitics and major global events.

The scale has also grown quickly, with roughly 250K–500K monthly active traders, 17M+ monthly visits and around $18B in projected 2025 trading volume.

But the part I find most interesting is the probability.

An event can be priced at 70% today, then new information arrives and suddenly it moves to 45%.

That change tells you something.

It shows how market participants are updating their expectations in real time.

The probability itself isn’t a guarantee.

It’s simply a snapshot of what the market currently expects.

For me, that’s the real value: watching expectations change as information changes.
