According to CNBC, Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg said the company’s 737 Max production is taking a little longer than expected to stabilize, and Boeing expects to increase output of the jets next year. Ortberg told investors at a Morgan Stanley industry conference that wing production at Boeing’s Renton, Washington, factory is currently a constraint, but the company has plans to address it. Boeing is producing about 47 of the aircraft per month, and Ortberg reiterated that he expects certification of the Max 10, the largest model in the family, very soon.
