Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced the DOJ has charged 80 individuals in a $245 million COVID relief fraud sweep.

One defendant allegedly attempted to steal $55 million by filing pandemic loan applications for fake businesses. Others filed fraudulent claims on behalf of Cuban immigrants.

The government approved and disbursed the funds before the schemes were uncovered.

Blanche: "The American people were robbed and they deserve to know."
