$PENGU has a more interesting problem than its recent price chart suggests.

PENGU is around $0.0083 today, with roughly $520M–$530M market cap and 62.86B tokens circulating. After gaining about 31% over the past month, it is still roughly 73% below its 2025 level.

But the bigger story is supply.

The next scheduled unlock is September 17: about 723M PENGU, equal to ~0.8% of total supply and roughly 1% of current market cap. More importantly, the scheduled recipient is insiders. Around 19.52B PENGU — about 22% of total supply — remains locked across future unlocks through November 2028.

That creates a useful distinction: the recent rally is not happening in a fully fixed-supply environment.

At the same time, the underlying Pudgy Penguins brand is moving in the opposite direction from the token's long-term price history. The project expanded into Target retail, launched Pudgy World, pushed the PENGU Card into everyday payments, and reported 100,000 virtual-card sign-ups in Q1.

That's the part worth sitting with.

The market is increasingly valuing PENGU as a consumer/IP ecosystem token, while the token itself still faces substantial scheduled supply entering circulation.

So the important question isn't simply whether PENGU can continue its rebound.

It's whether ecosystem growth can create enough incremental demand to absorb the remaining insider unlocks.

September 17 is one of the next real tests of that thesis.#cryptouniverseofficial
