$XRP Ledger Surpasses 5 Billion Lifetime Transactions.
The XRP Ledger has processed more than 5 billion transactions since its launch in 2012, marking a major network milestone. Data from XRPSCAN showed total ledger transactions had reached 5,016,297,013 by August 27, demonstrating the scale of activity accumulated across the network over more than 14 years.
The milestone comes as activity across the XRP Ledger continues to expand beyond XRP transfers. The network supports payments, tokenized assets, stablecoins and decentralized applications, while Ripple and other ecosystem participants continue developing infrastructure for institutional use.
The XRP Ledger is also seeing growth in its stablecoin ecosystem. Ripple’s RLUSD recently surpassed $2 billion in total market capitalization, while the amount issued on the XRP Ledger approached $1 billion. Together, the transaction milestone and expanding stablecoin supply show continued growth in the network’s underlying infrastructure and financial activity.
