I checked LDO again because the chart has changed since the last update — and the important part isn't the small red candle. It's the way price is struggling to reclaim the resistance cluster after the sharp rejection from $0.40+.
LDO is around $0.3564, down about 1.9% today, with a current daily high of $0.3634 and low of $0.3523. That's roughly a 3.1% intraday range.
The recent structure is still messy. LDO ran from $0.3285 on Aug. 20 to $0.4128 on Aug. 23, then dropped back to the $0.35 area. Since that peak, we have a clear lower-high sequence: $0.4002 → $0.3875 → $0.3684/$0.3634.
The moving averages explain why the bounce is struggling:
MA5: $0.3578
MA10: $0.3587
MA20: $0.3540
MA50: $0.3619
MA100: $0.3722
Price is sitting above MA20, but MA50 at $0.3619 is directly overhead and MA100 at $0.3722 is the next bigger barrier. The latest technical reading is mixed: RSI is around 54, while MACD remains slightly negative.
Volume is the part I don't want to ignore.
Today's volume is about 8.78M LDO, versus roughly 13.6M average across the previous five sessions — approximately 35% lower. So buyers are defending the area, but they aren't showing the same participation that accompanied the earlier expansion.
What I like
• $0.3426–$0.3523 remains an important demand zone
• Price is holding around MA20
• $0.3634 gives a clean breakout trigger
• The $0.40 area remains a clearly defined liquidity target
What I don't like
• MA50 is still overhead
• The structure after $0.4128 remains lower-high
• Volume has cooled sharply
• Chasing at $0.356–$0.360 gives mediocre R:R
My updated plan
I'm not buying LDO in the middle of this range.
I want to see $0.3645–$0.3660 reclaimed with stronger volume, followed by a successful retest.
Conditional LONG
Entry: $0.365–$0.367
SL: $0.3515
TP1: $0.3795
TP2: $0.4000
TP3: $0.4128
Using $0.366 as the reference:
Risk ≈ 3.96%
TP1 reward ≈ 3.69% → 0.93R
TP2 reward ≈ 9.29% → 2.35R
TP3 reward ≈ 12.79% → 3.23R
So I wouldn't enter just for TP1. The trade becomes interesting because TP2/TP3 provide the real payoff.
Invalidation: if LDO loses $0.3515 after the attempted reclaim, the bullish thesis is off. Below $0.3426, the structure deteriorates much further.
There is also fresh governance activity around Lido, including the Lido Tokenholder Update Call on Aug. 27 and new governance discussions, so event-driven volatility is worth keeping in mind.
For now, patience is the trade. I would rather miss a candle than buy directly underneath resistance with fading volume.
Does $LDO finally reclaim $0.3645 with real volume, or does another rejection send it back toward $0.3426?
