Alibaba is set to release Qwen 3.8-Flash-Next on Wednesday as a preview of the Qwen 4 architecture. Alibaba describes it as a 125-billion-parameter multimodal model that activates 6 billion parameters per token. The Qwen team says developers can use the early build to prepare for the full Qwen family. Qwen has not published hard benchmark scores, and the parameter figures have not been verified.
