Dusk has an interesting vision: privacy, ZK proofs, compliance and financial settlement onchain.

But the risks are real:

• ZK scalability — privacy must work at high volume.
• Complexity — more components mean more security assumptions.
• Adoption — banks and institutions still need a reason to use it.
• Regulation — financial rules differ across markets.
• Application risk — smart contracts can fail even if the network works.
• Market risk — DUSK can deliver huge upside, but equally large losses.

Phoenix is also no longer processing new transactions on mainnet after Boreas, so the current privacy direction matters more than the old Phoenix model.

For me, Dusk is high potential, but still high uncertainty.

The key question isn't whether the technology sounds good.

It's whether it can survive real users, real money and real financial markets.
