hmm.. so I was digging through old price charts today for the Dusk research and got distracted (again) by this number: 10 years ago, this exact week, Bitcoin was trading at $586.
$586. not a typo.
I actually did the math a few times because it felt wrong — from $586 to where we are now is something like a 130x return, and that's not even counting the multiple 70%+ drawdowns it survived along the way. 2018, 2022, all of it.
makes you think about what "early" actually looks like in real time. it never feels like a bargain in the moment, it just feels risky and uncertain and kind of boring, honestly. the chart only looks obvious in hindsight.
anyway — what's the equivalent "$586 moment" happening right now that we're all just scrolling past? 🤔
