They call it the CLARITY Act. It's a bill trying to make crypto rules in the US less fuzzy. Basically, it's about figuring out what kind of digital money things are and who gets to regulate them, the SEC or the CFTC.

It might also spell out what crypto exchanges, brokers, and dealers actually need to do. The idea is to cut down on this whole guessing game and make it simpler for actual businesses to set up shop here. The House voted for it in 2025, and the Senate Banking Committee moved a newer version forward in 2026. Still, people are fighting about it, so it's not law yet.
Why should anyone in the market even bother?

If things get clearer, big money might feel more comfortable, more investment could flow in, and crypto companies won't be guessing as much. Listen though, this bill doesn't automatically make every single coin skyrocket.

What it could do, big picture, is just make the whole US crypto space have a more planned-out regulatory setup.

Right now, it really comes down to this: Will Congress finally take crypto regulation from this messy situation and make it into actual clear rules
