I’ve been paying closer attention to Dusk lately, and I think the interesting story isn’t just “privacy blockchain.”

It’s the attempt to make privacy practical for financial applications.

The DuskEVM testnet caught my attention for that reason. Bringing an EVM environment into the Dusk ecosystem gives developers a more familiar way to build, while the underlying network keeps its focus on confidential transactions and smart contracts.

To me, that’s a useful combination.

Privacy infrastructure is only valuable if people can actually build on it without fighting the tooling at every step. If developers can use a stack they already understand and then tap into Dusk’s privacy-focused capabilities, the barrier to experimentation becomes much lower.

I’ve also noticed the project putting work into the less flashy parts of the ecosystem, including wallet and dApp connectivity.

Those details matter.

A blockchain can have strong cryptography and interesting architecture, but users ultimately experience wallets, applications, transactions and interfaces.

The way I see it, Dusk is trying to connect those pieces rather than treating privacy as a standalone feature.

Now I’m more interested in what gets built on top of that infrastructure than in another headline about the chain itself.

Can Dusk turn its privacy technology into something developers genuinely want to use for real financial applications?
