THE COST I CAN ACTUALLY PLAN AOUND
I’ve been looking more closely at @TermMax and one thing changed how I think about DeFi borrowing: sometimes the biggest risk isn’t the rate itself, but not knowing where it goes next.
In variable-rate markets, borrowing costs can shift after I enter a position, making my original risk calculation less reliable. TermMax’s fixed-rate, fixed-term model gives me something I value as a trader: a borrowing cost and maturity I can know upfront.
The real strength, in my view, is predictability. It can make position sizing, expected returns, and risk limits easier to structure.
But I’m not treating fixed rates as a free advantage. Liquidity, collateral requirements, and maturity risk still matter, especially when market conditions change quickly.
For my strategy, I’d consider #TermMax more interesting when predictable borrowing becomes practical infrastructure rather than simply another DeFi feature.
What would you prioritize when choosing between flexible rates and predictable borrowing costs?
