I was reading about Dusk Network yesterday and went through its whitepaper and documentation to understand where DUSK actually fits in the ecosystem.
The first and most important use of DUSK is paying network fees. Transactions and onchain execution require gas and those fees are paid in DUSK.
Another major use is staking. DUSK can be staked to help secure the network and participate in the consensus process. Active provisioners can earn rewards from newly emitted DUSK and transaction fees.
DUSK is also used across the Dusk execution environment. On DuskEVM it works as the native gas token while DuskVM supports smart contracts that run directly on the Dusk network.
What I found interesting is that DUSK is not just designed around trading. It is connected to the basic activity of the network from paying for transactions to supporting network security.
So in simple terms the main use cases of DUSK are network fees staking transaction execution and supporting the overall Dusk infrastructure.#dusk $DUSK @Dusk
