I caught myself hesitating over $DUSK again today, not because of the chart, but because I kept thinking about what actually needs to stay private in a financial transaction.
At first, I thought Dusk was mainly about putting financial workflows on-chain without exposing everything. Looking deeper, the more interesting part seems to be how the different pieces can still be checked without turning customer records, payment amounts, counterparties, settlement details, and reporting into public data.
I had a small test position in DUSK and honestly wasn’t expecting much from it. But this changed what I was watching.
The key insight for me is that privacy here isn’t just about hiding information. It’s about separating what needs to be verified from what needs to be revealed.
If financial institutions can prove a workflow happened correctly while keeping sensitive details private, that feels much closer to how real finance actually needs to work.
