Where Do Dusk Staking Rewards Actually Come From?
I went One layer deeper into Dusk’s economics today, And This part was More interesting than another APR discussion.
A Dusk block reward isn’t made up of newly issued $DUSK Alone. It combines New token emissions With The transaction fees paid in that block.
Then there’s The Long-term emission schedule:
Dusk plans to emit 500M DUSK over 36 years to fund Staking Rewards.
Uses a geometric decay model With a reduction rate of 0.5 — roughly a halving every 4 years.
That raises a question I Think is More Important than today’s reward rate:
As emissions become smaller, how much can Real Network activity And transaction fees contribute to The reward economy?
That’s The part I’ll be Watching.
A Staking model can look attractive today, But its longer-term strength May depend on whether the network eventually generates enough economic activity to support it.
