The phrase “diamond hands” sounds very different when you zoom out across an entire crypto cycle. A token can survive multiple bull markets and still leave long-term holders deeply underwater if they bought near a cycle peak and simply waited for the next one. That's why I don't think “hold forever” is a complete strategy. For me, long-term conviction still needs a thesis. 📊 What is the asset's market structure doing? 📈 Is adoption actually growing? 💰 Is liquidity returning? 🔄 Is the token making higher highs and higher lows over the cycle? 🛑 What would invalidate the original thesis? Bitcoin has historically demonstrated a very different level of resilience from many altcoins, while some once-dominant assets never returned to their previous highs. Holding through volatility can be powerful. Holding an asset simply because you're already down is something completely different. The market doesn't care about your entry price. That's why I prefer conviction + evidence + risk management over blindly holding and hoping for the next cycle. The chart tells the story. 📊
