Tether has taken a significant step toward greater transparency.

KPMG U.S. has completed a full independent audit of Tether International, S.A. de C.V.’s financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2025.

According to Tether, KPMG issued an unqualified audit opinion, the most favorable form of audit opinion, indicating that the financial statements were fairly presented in all material respects under U.S. GAAP.

The audit itself is significant, but the broader implication may be even more important. After years of scrutiny surrounding Tether’s reserves and financial reporting, independent examination adds another layer of external verification to one of the most important entities in digital assets.

Trust is not built by asking people to believe.

It is strengthened when the numbers can be independently examined.
