I’ve been looking at Dusk from the project side, and I initially thought the privacy angle was the whole story.

The more I dug into it, the more I noticed the Confidential Security Contract (XSC) approach.

What seems interesting here is that Dusk isn’t just talking about hiding transaction details. The idea is to support financial logic through confidential smart contracts, where sensitive information can remain private while the contract still needs to follow verifiable rules.

That could matter a lot for financial applications.

Markets deal with information that you simply don’t want sitting in public view. So the challenge isn’t only putting assets on-chain. It’s figuring out how you can actually run financial contracts on-chain without exposing everything.

That changed how I look at the project.

I’m still cautious about what XSC can achieve in practice, but it seems like the more important question for Dusk is whether this architecture can make confidential financial applications genuinely usable.
