$AVAX caught my attention for a simple reason: buyers are finally showing up around a level that has repeatedly mattered, but price still has to prove it can escape the range.

$AVAX — Recovery Attempt Under Resistance

Current price: ~$6.64

24H: +2.49%

24H High: ~$6.64

24H Low: ~$6.47

Volume: ~$154M

The latest available market feed has AVAX around $6.64 with roughly $154M in 24H volume, while recent coverage shows the token defending the broader $6 support area and attempting a recovery.

1H Market Structure

The bigger picture is still a recovery inside a wide range rather than a confirmed trend reversal. The important part is that AVAX has moved back toward the upper part of the recent trading area instead of continuing to lose the $6 support zone.

That makes $6.70–$6.82 the area I’m watching closely. A clean break there would change the short-term structure.

The Key Observation

I don't want to chase the current push.

The interesting setup is a breakout + retest. If buyers can take $6.70–$6.82 with a convincing candle close and then defend the breakout area, the move has room to expand.

AVAX has also recently been described as holding $6 support while network activity improves, so there is a fundamental backdrop for the recovery — but price still has to confirm it.

Volume Check

Volume is healthy enough to keep the recovery interesting, but I want to see another expansion during the actual breakout.

A move above resistance on fading volume would make me suspicious of a fakeout.

What I Like

- $6 support has remained an important downside zone.

- Price is attempting to recover toward range resistance.

- Current trading activity is substantial, with roughly $154M in 24H volume.

What I Don't Like

- Resistance is directly overhead.

- AVAX has not yet confirmed a clean range breakout.

- A rejection around $6.70–$6.82 could send price back toward the middle of the range.

My Plan

I’m not buying the first push into resistance.

I want the breakout, then the retest. If the broken level holds and buyers step back in, that gives the trade a much cleaner invalidation.

TRADE SETUP

Bias: LONG — CONDITIONAL

Strategy: Breakout + Retest Long

Timeframe: 1H

Entry: $6.68 – $6.76

Confirmation: 1H candle close above $6.70, followed by a retest that holds $6.68–$6.70 with renewed buying volume.

TP1: $6.82

TP2: $7.00

TP3: $7.20

TP4: $7.50

SL: $6.45

R:R: approximately 1:0.7 to TP1, 1:1.4 to TP2, 1:2.4 to TP3, and 1:3.7 to TP4 depending on entry.

Invalidation

A sustained 1H close back below $6.45 after the breakout would tell me the reclaim failed. I would cancel the long idea rather than averaging into weakness.

Final Market View

AVAX is getting interesting, but the best trade is not the candle that breaks resistance — it’s the retest that proves buyers are willing to defend it.

If $6.70–$6.82 breaks with volume, would you trust the retest for the next move toward $7+?
