US Market Close: S&P 500 Slips,. The Weekly Winning Streak Continues

The US stock market had a pretty quiet day on Friday. The S&P 500 went down a little, 0.2% and closed at 7,785.76.. The good news is that the S&P 500 still had a good week. This is the week in a row that the S&P 500 has gone up.

The Dow and Nasdaq also went down a bit on Friday. It was not a deal, just a small step back.

Some things that people were talking about were US retail sales. This made people a little worried about how money people are spending and how healthy the economy is.. It also means that prices might not go up as much and that is good news for the Federal Reserve.

Oil prices were also important. When oil prices go up it can make inflation worse.. That is something that people are watching closely.

There were some changes in the market too. Applied Materials had a day even though they had good results.. Reddit had a good day because it is going to be added to the S&P 500.

So Friday was a day but the week was still pretty good.

The S&P 500 is still near its point ever. People are still watching the things: what is happening with the economy, inflation, oil prices and what the Federal Reserve will do next.

For now it looks like the market is just taking a break after going up a lot. It does not seem like things are changing in a way. The S&P 500 is still doing well. That is good news, for investors. #winingstreak $QQQB
