According to Yonhap, South Korean fashion and retail platform Musinsa Co. said it will open an offline outlet in Indonesia next year as part of its global expansion strategy. The company has signed a deal with Indonesian retailer PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAP) to launch a Musinsa Standard outlet in the Southeast Asian market, with the store to operate as a shop-in-shop inside MAP shopping malls and MAP handling operations. Musinsa said Indonesia is a key market for its offline business because of its population of 280 million and growing demand for K-fashion products.

The company has been expanding partnerships with local firms to build its presence in global fashion markets. On Wednesday, it signed an agreement with ACX Holdings Corp., the retail platform of the Philippines' biggest conglomerate, Ayala Group, to open a Musinsa Standard outlet later this year. In China, Musinsa already operates three Musinsa Standard stores and one Musinsa Store outlet each in Shanghai and Guangzhou, and the company also plans to open a Musinsa Standard store in Japan next year. Musinsa Standard outlets sell the company's in-house fashion brands, while Musinsa Store outlets carry curated K-fashion partner brands.
