Dusk: Programmable Privacy in Finance I used to believe that the more transparent a financial blockchain was, the more trustworthy it would be. Now I think that idea is incomplete. Because in real financial markets, showing everything to everyone is not transparency it can become a liability. That is what makes Dusk interesting. Its approach to programmable privacy is not simply about hiding transactions. It is about controlling who can access what, when they can access it, and what can still be verified without exposing sensitive information. That distinction matters. Regulated assets need privacy, but they also need accountability. Institutions cannot put every sensitive financial detail on a public ledger, while regulators and authorized participants still need the ability to verify what is happening. This is where technologies like homomorphic encryption and zero-knowledge proofs become much more important. The objective isn't to make information disappear. It is to make verification possible without unnecessarily revealing the underlying data. That changes how I look at privacy in finance. The future probably isn't about choosing between transparency and privacy. It is about building systems where privacy is programmable and disclosure is controlled. If Dusk can execute that vision properly in real-world financial transactions, this could become one of the network’s most important use cases. But I’m still watching the execution.
